    Description

    Tyre-Pro BASE Repair Kit;

    At just 450 grams (16 oz) packed in a 17 x 9 cm (7 “x 4”) pouch its the lightest, most compact pocket size tool kit available. This innovative, quality Motorcycle Tyre Repair Kit is CNC machined from billet 7075 T6  ‘aerospace’ aluminium. It is entirely manufactured in the Netherlands, no Chinese mass production! Modular expandable design, customizable to your motorcycle.

    Warning/Disclaimer;

    Repairing or replacing a motorcycle tyre with hand tyre repair tools requires specific skills and knowledge. If you have no experienced with motorcycle tyre repair or replacement then it is extremely important that you acquire these skills before you sett of on any adventure. It is essential that you are confident with the tools and have at least done a couple of tyre repairs in a controlled environment. Trying to repair a flat tyre in a remote place without the appropriate knowledge and skills can get you in serious trouble!

    The Tyre-Pro BASE Repair Kit contains;

    • two (2) handle sets (2 male elements + 2 female element),
    • two (2) tyre spoons,
    • one (1) bead breaker,
    • two (2) heavy duty canvas storage pouches.
    • one (1) set spare O-rings

    Add lightweight ring spanners in the specific sizes of your motorcycle or several other options to your Tyre-Pro BASE Repair Kit. Please refer to the suggested options below.

    Note; if you are also purchasing a Wheel Service Kit for your bike, then you may want to consider getting the Tyre Repair Extension Kit instead of a Base Kit. The Tyre Repair Extension Kit offers the same functionality together with a Wheel Service Kit but is cheaper, lighter and takes less space because it has only one handle set; the other required handle set comes from your Wheel Service Kit.

    Ultra-compact, lightweight and truly pocket sized

    Most motorcycle tyre repair tools are too heavy or too long to fit in a tool roll or under your motorcycle seat. They are difficult to carry on a motorcycle and at the same time they are too short to be really efficient for the job.

    Specifically designed for motorcycle travellers;

    The Tyre-Pro motorcycle tyre repair tools are lightweight, compact and completely customizable depending on your wishes and motorcycle requirements.

    The Tyre-Pro motorcycle tyre repair kit solves some paradoxal requirements. It is truly pocket size and yet provides full size ring spanners, tyre levers and a powerful (patented) bead breaker. It packs in two small pouches of only 17 x 9cm (6.7″ x 3.6″). With roughly the size of a smartphone, each pouch weights only +/- 275 grams (0.60 lbs/9.7 oz).

    They are easy to store on the bike or to put in your bike jacket’s pockets. Very useful for day rides when you don’t carry luggage but also for longer trips and adventure rides when space and weight are at a premium. The Base Kit fits in one pouch but comes in two pouches. This allows expansion with the Tyre-Pro optional parts like the ring spanners, WheelWedge, 1/4 inch drive adapter or reversible ratchet. Two pouches improves storage flexibility.

    Optional add-on items;

    • extra tyre spoons and handles,
    • spanners in sizes 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, 27, 30, 32, 34 and 36mm.
    • reversible ratchets; 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch.
    • 13mm – 3/8″ square socket drive,
    • WheelWedge / bead lock,
    • HEX Axle tool
    • extra pouches

    If prefer working with three tyre levers; by adding one extra Tyre-Pro tyre spoon (shown below), you can assemble two tyre levers of 225 mm plus one tyre lever of 340 mm.

    TIP; preparing for a holiday or adventure trip!? You probable will check your tyres for thread depth and damages. But it is good practice to also check how old your tyres are. And when they have been fitted on the rims. If a tyre has been on a rim for a couple of years without being touched, the rubber can be almost “vulcanized” to the Aluminium rims.

    Breaking the bead with hand tools in that case can become an unnecessarily hard job, depending on tyre brand and type. If the tyre has been on the rim for a long time it is therefore strongly recommended to break the bead before departure. Or have it broken in your motorcycle shop and “freshen up” and lubricate the beads with tyre grease. It will make life a lot easier in case of that dreaded puncture in the middle of nowhere! Fail to prepare, prepare to fail!
