Topeak Smart Gauge D2 is the second-generation digital gauge features a rotating SmartHead™ and works seamlessly with Presta and the motorcycle Schrader valves without changing parts. Precision digital gauge with a range of up to 250 psi / 17 bar for use with tires, suspension forks and rear shock units. LCD display in psi, Bar, or kg/cm2.

Construction

With the plastic body with a digital LCD display and a replaceable CR2032 battery, the Topeak Smart Gauge D2 is compact and lightweight at 95g and it fits neatly in the hand. The 180° swivel ‘Smart Head’ with a sliding yellow lever allows you to select between Presta or motorcycle Schrader valves. It can also be used with air-sprung forks and shocks.

Operation

The gauge’s face has an on/off rubber button and a unit selector for switching between psi, bar and kg/cm2 and a ‘Tune’ button. After pressing this button, the display flashes to indicate you’re in the tuning mode. From there you simply push the gauge onto the tyre valve, and the gauge will read the current pressure. Use the yellow bleed valve to release excess air pressure. The display will show you a live reading, until you hit your desired pressure. Most tire gauges don’t have this live reading and will “freeze” at the initially measured pressure value.
