Description

Motorcycle Tyre Repair Kit; Tyre-Pro Base Kit;

This innovative, quality Motorcycle Tyre Repair Kit is CNC machined from billet 7075 T6  ‘aerospace’ aluminium. It is entirely manufactured in the Netherlands, no Chinese mass production! Modular expandable design, customizable to your motorcycle.

Warning/Disclaimer;

Repairing or replacing a motorcycle tyre with hand tyre repair tools requires specific skills and knowledge. If you have no experienced with motorcycle tire repair or replacement then it is extremely important that you acquire these skills before you sett of on any adventure. It is essential that you are confident with the tools and have at least done a couple of tyre repairs in a controlled environment. Trying to repair a flat tyre in a remote place without the appropriate knowledge and skills can get you in serious trouble!

The TyrePro Base Kit contains;

  • two (2) handle sets (2 male elements + 2 female element),
  • two (2) tyre spoons,
  • one (1) bead breaker,
  • two (2) heavy duty canvas storage pouches.
  • one (1) set spare O-rings

Add lightweight ring spanners in the specific sizes of your motorcycle or several other options to your Tyre-Pro kit. Please refer to the suggested options below.

Note; if you are also purchasing a Wheel Service Kit for your bike, then you may want to consider getting the Tyre Repair Extension Kit instead of a Base Kit. The Tyre Repair Extension Kit offers the same functionality together with a Wheel Service Kit but is cheaper, lighter and takes less space because it has only one handle set; the other required handle set comes from your Wheel Service Kit.

Ultra-compact, lightweight and truly pocket sized

Most motorcycle tyre repair tools are too heavy or too long to fit in a tool roll or under your motorcycle seat. They are difficult to carry on a motorcycle and at the same time they are too short to be really efficient for the job.

Specifically designed for motorcycle travellers;

The Tyre-Pro motorcycle tyre repair tools are lightweight, compact and completely customizable depending on your wishes and motorcycle requirements.

The Tyre-Pro motorcycle tyre repair kit solves some paradoxal requirements. It is truly pocket size and yet provides full size ring spanners, tyre levers and a powerful (patented) bead breaker. It packs in two small pouches of only 17 x 9cm (6.7″ x 3.6″). With roughly the size of a smartphone, each pouch weights only +/- 275 grams (0.60 lbs/9.7 oz). They are easy to store on the bike or to put in your bike jacket’s pockets. Very useful for day rides when you don’t carry luggage but also for longer trips and adventure rides when space and weight are at a premium. The Base Kit fits in one pouch but comes in two pouches. This allows expansion with the Tyre-Pro optional parts like the ring spanners, WheelWedge, 1/4 inch drive adapter or reversible ratchet. Two pouches improves storage flexibility.

Optional add-on items;

  • extra tyre spoons and handles,
  • spanners in sizes 17, 19, 22, 24, 27, 32 and 34mm,
  • reversible ratchets; 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch.
  • 13mm – 3/8″ square socket drive,
  • WheelWedge / bead lock,
  • HEX Axle tool
  • extra pouches

If prefer working with three tyre levers; by adding one extra Tyre-Pro tyre spoon (shown below), you can assemble two tyre levers of 225 mm plus one tyre lever of 340 mm.

You can find more information about Tyre-Pro tool kit if you skroll down on the page; Tyre-Pro & Light Tools

TIP; preparing for a holiday or adventure trip!? You probable will check your tires for thread depth and damages. But it is good practice to also check how old your tires are. And when they have been fitted on the rims. If a tire has been on a rim for a couple of years without being touched, the rubber can be almost “vulcanized” to the Aluminium rims.

Breaking the bead with hand tools in that case can become an unnecessarily hard job, depending on tire brand and type. If the tire has been on the rim for a long time it is therefore strongly recommended to break the bead before departure. Or have it broken in your motorcycle shop and “freshen up” and lubricate the beads with tire grease. It will make life a lot easier in case of that dreaded puncture in the middle of nowhere! Fail to prepare, prepare to fail!

  2. Marc Attree

    Great quality product, well designed packs up into two small pouches easy to store on the bike.
    Would recommend getting this kit.

    I received my tyre pro kit and was impressed on how light and compact it all was. (Which is why I invested in it in the first place)
    I bought my tyre and tried them out.
    I bought the 27mm spanner for my rear wheel of my Tiger 800xc. I used it and that was all good so I started the front tyre change.
    I also got the 3/8” socket drive for the front axle bolt.
    It takes quite a lot of force to remove a motorbike tyre and my brother was saying the levers would bend or worse still, break. I told him they’re built to do the job and trust them. The bead breaker worked a treat and once the tyre was off and changed the wedge also worked like a dream to aid putting it back on. That and some Vaseline.
    This is the first time I’ve changed a tyre on a motorbike and thought I’d practice in the garage and not on a mountain track somewhere.
    All in all I love them. 10/10. And hope I never have to use them ?

    I have a BMWf800GSA, and most of the time I ride solo and pretty remote areas. I have had a bunch of flat tires and with semi knobby tires my main problem was to break the bead, a great frustration as I had spare tubes and couldn’t fix my own tire. I have the MotoWinch from Eastbound and after using and realizing how easy was to use and how well was designed and fabricated, I got the Tyre-Pro Lever Set … now I do not doubt taking any lonely road for fear of having a flat tire and getting stuck! #chicamotorunner

    I have several tools from Eastbound. I love the modular and lightweight nature of the wrenches, tire spoons, and handles. It’s wonderful to be able to apply torque as needed by shortening or lengthening the handles. The bead breaker works perfectly. Service and communication with Eastbound have been excellent – that’s especially notable since all three of my orders have taken place during the Coronavirus pandemic and involved shipping from the Netherlands to the USA.

    I’m happy I purchased the Eastbound Tyre Pro set. It always lives under my CRF1000 seat and I can do a lot of service jobs everywhere in combination with my regular tool set. In addition my video review of the set including the spoons to break the bead while switching to a pair of K60 Scout.

    I bought the kit for my crf1000 and I am surprised by the quality and efficiency. I managed to change both tyres with minimum effort in around 30 minutes. The kit is very light and packed in a small bag. I highly recommend it!!!
